Development on 2015's open-world Legend of Zelda game is progressing well, so much so that the graphics have improved since the last time we saw it at E3, according to producer Eiji Aonuma.

In this week's issue of Japanese trade publication Famitsu (translated by Nintendo Everything), Aonuma was asked about the game's graphics. He replied: "Now it looks more amazing than what was shown at E3."

Aonuma also spoke about the game's visual presentation, which has a very distinct style as you can see in the trailer above. He says Nintendo considered many different styles before landing on the presentation shown off during E3 this past summer.

He also talked about the huge, spider-like monster from the game's E3 trailer (at left), saying it's an enemy type that has never appear in the Zelda series before. He wants players to think about "If any enemy like this appears, how would you beat it?" As the trailer shows, this is a particularly mighty enemy, as it can traverse land and water.

As for when we might see more of the new Legend of Zelda game for Wii U, Aonuma said Nintendo might show it off at next year's E3 in June 2015.
