Forgetting an anniversary is relationship suicide, but when that anniversary involves a woman packing some serious heat, it could turn to excruciating homicide. Eidos wants gamers to take note (for their own protection, of course): the PC and PlayStation 2 editions of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary have been dated for a June 5 release in North America.
"Forget our anniversary, and you won't be sleeping on the couch. You'll be sleeping with the fishes."
The game is a remake of the original Tomb Raider, the first game to feature one of the industry's most recognizable icons, the buxom heroine Lara Croft. Anniversary is based on Lara's first adventure, but it's powered by the same engine used in 2006's Tomb Raider: Legend and features some new twists.
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary is rated T for Teen. A PlayStation Portable version is also in the works but has not yet been given a release date. For more on the game, read GameSpot's hands-on preview.
