Following the success of its original Karaoke Revolution, Konami has decided to sign on for another sing-along. Today, the publisher announced it will release Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 in the North America this summer.
Like its Japanese cousin, Karaoke Revolution J-Pop Vol. 2, Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 will be PlayStation 2-exclusive and can be used with any of the console's headset/microphone peripherals. Unlike its Japanese counterpart, the American version features 35 new all-English-language tracks, including The Police's "Every Breath You Take," Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places," and Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive."
Both the original Karaoke Revolution and its sequel were developed by Harmonix Music. Both games feature a vocal analyzer, which rates the player's vocal ability and provides feedback via a simulated crowd that boos or cheers depending on performance. In addition to the original training, arcade, and karaoke modes, Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 also has a new medley mode that lets players create their own lounge-singer montage of up to five song clips.
GameSpot will have more details on Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 as they become available.
