TOKYO--Konami has announced on its official Web site that it will release Pop'n Music 10 for the PlayStation 2 in Japan on November 18. The music game will include a number of new songs that are exclusive to the PS2, totaling more than 100 playable tracks. Two editions of Pop'n Music 10 will be available at release--the normal 7,140 yen ($65) package and the controller-bundled package, which will come with a special controller for the game and will retail at a price of 9,240 yen ($85).
Also on November 18, Konami will release Beatmania II DX 8th Style for the PS2. Although Konami has not made an official announcement, a new Dance Dance Revolution game titled DDR Festival: Dance Dance Revolution is expected to hit the PS2 on the same date as well. According to Japanese retailers, DDR Festival Dance Dance Revolution will include more than 60 tracks, of which at least one half will be new songs. Sony's EyeToy peripheral will also be supported.
