Konami Corporation has today announced that it plans to release a number of cell phone games to the North American market through AT&T Wireless' recently relaunched mMode content service. Konami has been providing a version of the 1981 arcade game Frogger through the mMode service since November 20 and has revealed today that it plans to release both Gradius and Castlevania in the future.
Konami has already distributed more than 200 games through its Japanese mobile phone game sites such as Konami Net DX since 1999. In January this year it began providing content to the Hong Kong and Taiwanese markets and plans to become a leading global content provider by distributing its cell phone games throughout the world.
