With Final Fantasy XV being very close to release, Square Enix's next big title is the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3, currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. News on the possible release date of the game are still scarce, but Square Enix confirmed that PlayStation 4 owners will soon be able to experience the whole franchise.
During Paris Games Show, Square Enix confirmed that the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and 2.5 HD Remix will be released as a single package on PlayStation 4 next year. Both HD collections will come with the same content that was featured in the PlayStation 3 releases, with the welcome addition of 60 FPS, which will be a first for the series. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix will launch on March 9th in Japan, March 28th in North America and March 31st in Europe.
With the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, the PlayStation 4 console will become the system to get for Kingdom Hearts fans, as all the titles released so far will be available on the console. Those who have only played the original PS2 release of the two main entries of the series will also be able to experience additional content, as the remasters are based on the Final Mix releases, which include plenty of additional content such as new weapons, new abilities, new boss battles and much more.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix launches this March in all regions exclusively on PlayStation 4. We will keep you updated on the upcoming HD collection as well as on the third entry of the series as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
