Marvel boss Kevin Feige has revealed in a new interview that should the character of Daredevil return to the MCU, actor Charlie Cox will reprise that role.
"If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil," Feige told CinemaBlend. "Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."
In other words, this statement effectively amounts to a huge confirmation--but without it being tied to a definitive project, it doesn't really mean a whole lot just yet. Feige phrasing it like this as Spider-Man: No Way Home is swinging into theaters on December 17 may turn out to be a slight tease whose significance may soon be more fully understood, since it's been heavily rumored that Peter Parker will cross paths with Daredevil (or his civilian identity, Matt Murdock). Or, if they don't meet, then we'll have a lot longer to puzzle over whatever Feige might have in mind and Marvel could be planning.
Unfortunately, the quote above is all Feige had to say about what's ahead for Daredevil.
The Daredevil television series is now streaming on Netflix, and Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17. On Netflix, Daredevil's series ran from 2015 until 2018 and spanned 39 episodes across three seasons until the streaming service canceled it.
