It's been a rough week for major movie delays. First, the new Dune movie got bumped out of its December slot for October 2021, then The Batman was pushed back yet again to a new spot in 2022. Now, Jurassic World: Dominion has been given the same treatment and moved from its June 2021 spot to June 10, 2022.
The news comes from the movie's official Twitter, which released a new poster to coincide with the announcement.

Dominion will be the third movie in the Jurassic World franchise, following 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Details of the movie are still vague, but Jurassic World staples Chris Pratt, who plays raptor-wrangler Owen Grady, and Bryce Dallas Howard who plays Claire Dearing will be reprising their roles along with Jurassic Park favorites Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Last year's Fallen Kingdom saw the dinosaurs make the jump from the destroyed theme park island to the mainland where they--unsurprisingly--eventually escaped custody to rampage around the country. Dominion will likely deal with the fallout of those events directly, tossing all sorts of dinos directly into the heart of human life where they'll, if we had to guess, probably start dominating things.
Dominion isn't the only thing the Jurassic franchise has currently in the works. Recently, Universal Studios' Islands Of Adventure announced an upcoming roller coaster themed after the series' iconic raptors called the VelociCoaster set to open next summer. As for all of the delayed movies, you can keep track of them with our guide.
