While there are conflicting reports on whether Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Immortals) will hang up Superman's cape, previous rumors have suggested Ben Affleck (Gone Girl, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) is following suit in what's believed to be a huge shake-up over at DC. If rumors are true and Affleck does leave Batman behind, fans are eager to know who'll play the Dark Knight in future films. Well, it seems Jon Hamm (Baby Driver, Tag) is interested.

　　According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Mad Men star said he's interested in playing Batman as long as the script is good. "It depends on the script, what the story is," Hamm said.

　　He added that he's always been a comic book fan and wouldn't mind playing the Bat, but there are stipulations. "I am a huge comic book fan, always have been," he said. "I've read comic books since I was 9 or younger. And I'm pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they're done well." The main requirement for Hamm to play Bruce Wayne/Batman, it would seem, is that it has to be done well.

　　And what about the suit? Hamm said he'd "probably fit the suit" but that it would demand him to "work out a lot," which he claims he doesn't enjoy. "But, I am sure there's an interesting version of that being out there. And if they wanted to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to do it, why not?"

　　Hamm is aware that some fans have wanted to see him in the role for years. "I have had rumors about that since probably season one of Mad Men," he said. But the actor would like to remind fans he hasn't had any real, legitimate conversations with any studio bigwigs about anything. "I think the internet wants what it wants," he continued. "But, I mean, a lot of people have to sign off on that, obviously not just the internet."
