Jeopardy has announced that both executive producer Mike Richards and neuroscientist/actor Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory) will serve as the long-running game show's new hosts. The decision to select two hosts is part of the studio's plans "to extend the Jeopardy franchise to new platforms."
"We are thrilled to begin the next chapter of America's favorite quiz show with Mike hosting our daily show and Mayim hosting new versions of Jeopardy," said Ravi Ahujga, chairman of global television studios and corporate development for Sony Pictures.

Richards recently emerged as the frontrunner for the hosting job, though that selection quickly came under fire as he and other The Price is Right producers were accused by multiple models of harassment and discrimination. In a memo Richards sent to The Daily Beast, he states that the allegations were "employment disputes against the show" and how he's been characterized in these complaints "does not reflect the reality of who I am or how we worked together on The Price Is Right."
The selected hosts ends a lengthy run of guest hosts who have filled in since former host Trebek's death in November, including Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and TV personalities Katie Couric, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Anderson Cooper. Bialik was also among the guest judges, but the fan-favorite to get the job was arguably LeVar Burton. In addition to a formidable online petition by fans, Burton himself also let it be known he would like to be the next host.
