"After that third game, I was very worried about Game 4 but during the fourth game I feel like the heavens were looking down on me, blessing me, and gave me the luck to win", an emotional Lee told onGamers after his victory. "After I won that, I was set with the fifth game, I knew I'd win."

Lee said that the missed opportunities in Game's 2 and 3 with his resiliency in Game 4 gave him assurance that he was moving onto the Semifinals.

"Because Dear is such a strong player, after I was able to beat him in that 4th game, I was just able to get this mental advantage to know that I'd win that final fifth game."

Lee has yet to have won a major event in StarCraft 2 after such an illustrious career in Brood War, including placing second in four major international StarCraft 2 tournaments in 2013. Now he has an opportunity to win his first on the biggest stage of the year. One that may be a defining moment for a champion who's seen i all back home.

"I haven't been able to win a SC2 tournament...if I'm able to win BlizzCon, I think it'll be one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. Just as this chance has been offered to me, I'd really like to be able to take advantage and grab it."

Lee wanted to speak English to his fans for today's Finals.

"I'm very appreciative. Thank you very much for cheering me on. I love my fans, my friends, my family. I will get this tournament. Thank you."
