InterAct Accessories announced today that it will produce SharkHub, a USB hub for the PlayStation 2 and PC. SharkHub allows the PlayStation 2 to output enough power to accommodate up to four USB devices from each PlayStation 2 or PC USB port. The SharkHub supports full USB protocols, including fast and slow USB data transfers, and it features power indicators for each USB port. The SharkHub will ship with a vertical stand and a 5V AC adapter.
"We know that serious gamers want to have all possible gaming accessories available to them when playing their favorite games," John Hays, director of GameShark product development, said. "The USB SharkHub allows gamers to simultaneously connect a full range of USB devices for the PS2 like keyboards, controllers, PC link cables, zip drives, and hard drives."
InterAct claims that it will have multiple USB accessories available for the PlayStation 2 when its hard drive and broadband adapter ship in the near future.
