For one weekend, something extraordinary happened. Taco Bell opened a hotel and resort in Palm Springs, Ca. The Bell, as it was known, had just about everything you could want in a resort run by the fast-food chain. From appropriately themed bedrooms that included hot sauce packet pillows to a salon where you could get Taco Bell-inspired looks, there was plenty to do, see, and taste.

　　And we did it all. GameSpot checked into The Bell for one night, determined to take in as many of the Taco Bell luxuries as humanly possible. Whether it was the live musical performances, the specialty cocktails, or even the ridiculous Taco Bell fade GameSpot's own Chris E. Hayner had shaved into his head, no stone was left unturned.

　　Then, of course, there was the food. What's a Taco Bell hotel without plenty of Taco Bell to munch on? The Bell's menu boasted many items that have not made it to stores yet, from fish tacos to club sandwiches, all of which were available for purchase. And, honestly, the fish tacos were pretty good. For those with more traditional Taco Bell tastes, there were also complimentary menu items served poolside. That's right, you could be lounging in the sun and snacking on a Crunchwrap Supreme with a side of Nacho Fries, which is either the best or worst idea of all time.

　　In all, The Bell was the wild next step for Taco Bell after the Demolition Man-themed pop-up restaurant the company launched at San Diego Comic-Con in 2018. With it in the rearview, we can't help but wonder what Taco Bell is going to pull off next. If they're looking for ideas, though, a Taco Bell theme park isn't a bad idea.
