On Friday the Infogrames Entertainment Group announced that revenue for the fiscal year 1997-1998, which ended on June 30, had more than doubled over the previous fiscal year.
Infogrames reported US$233 million in revenue, a 111 percent increase over the fiscal year 1996-1997. In the fourth quarter, Infogrames gained $51.8 million in comparison to $43.2 million the previous year.
"Our high growth rate is a direct result of the company's ability to meet strong consumer demand for a wide variety of games and platforms worldwide. Our leadership and success in the industry is backed by a strong commitment to regularly develop and distribute top-notch titles," said Bruno Bonnell, chairman of the Infogrames Entertainment Group.
