Feb 3, 2025 10:57 AM

Infinite Machine announced Wednesday that it will license Epic Games' Unreal engine for its upcoming third-person 3D action game. The company, founded by LucasArts' Jedi Knight designer Justin Chin and Jedi Knight programmer Che-Yuan Wang, will develop the game for GT Interactive. The game will be published in 2000.

"We're extremely happy to have Infinite Machine join our other Unreal licensee partners," said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games. "Justin, Che-Yuan, and the rest of the team have already impressed us with their plans for their game and how they plan to optimize and expand upon the Unreal engine."

"By licensing the Unreal technology, Infinite Machine can concentrate on creating extremely immersive and interactive content, and character driven storylines," said Justin Chin, president and CEO of Infinite Machine. "The technology in the upcoming Unreal Tournament is amazing and will ensure intense single and multiplayer action."
