Winter has come. Namco Bandai Entertainment announces Impact Winter, a survival game that takes place during a frozen apocalypse.
In Impact Winter you play as Jacob Soloman, who has to venture out into a frozen wasteland which he refers to as the 'Void' in order to gather supplies to keep him and his team of survivors. He's not alone, though, your robotic buddy Aki-Light will be joining at your side and help you staying alive in the harsh winter hell. He and his team just have to resist thirty days until help arrives, but it looks like that's a lot easier said than done.
Hervé Hoerdt, VP Marketing & Digital at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe explains what got them interesting in publishing Mojo Bones unique survival game:
When Mojo Bones introduced Impact Winter to us, we understood early on that this alternative survival experience, with its distinctive artistic direction will be a unique adventure for players. We’re really pleased to closely work with Mojo Bones on this project as we continue to expand our range of games.
Impact Winter is coming to PC early 2017. Take a look at the screenshots and trailer below to get more of a sense of how dire things truly are.
Stuart Ryall, Co-Founder and Designer at Mojo Bones, commented on the announcement earlier today:
The team here at Mojo Bones are both extremely proud and excited to partner with Bandai Namco Entertainment for the release of Impact Winter. As gamers, we formed Mojo Bones in 2011 with the intention of using our newfound creative freedom to explore and design unique ideas and concepts. Impact Winter represents the most ambitious step along our journey so far; taking inspiration from our favourite games, movies, music and literature in an attempt to build on those influences and create a one-of-a-kind survival adventure.
