Interactive Magic is touting its iLZ Internet chat software, which it says is designed to "quickly connect customers to a stand-alone Internet matching service where a community of regular players engage in real-time chat." Players can then begin multiplayer sessions of PC CD-ROM games or connect to iMagic Online, Interactive Magic's pay-for-play Internet gaming site.
The company began distributing the iLZ software with games shipped last December.
Interactive Magic has also signed a deal with National Sales League (NSL), whose specialists will work on getting Interactive Magic's 1999 schedule of mass-market A titles onto store shelves or on the minds of potential buyers. NSL has used its team to help companies such as SouthPeak Interactive, Mattel, and THQ increase their sales.
