Interactive Magic announced Friday the development of a new real-time tactical combat action game called Flash Point, developed in collaboration with Czech developer Bohemia Interactive.
Flash Point will take place in an alternate history, in the near-aftermath of World War III in Europe. The player takes control of a single soldier, completing missions and earning the right to command more troops as the game progresses in a blend of first-person action and strategy genres.
Many historical vehicles will be included, as well as 3D graphics, immersive battlefields, a detailed physics model, and head-to-head multiplayer capability over LAN or the Internet.
I-Magic plans on releasing Flash Point about summer 1999.
