The International Game Developers Association, the "voice" of game developers across the globe (and backers of the annual Game Developers Choice Awards given out each March at the Game Developers Conference), announced a few changes to its board of directors today. Big Huge Games founder Brian Reynolds (with work on Civilization II, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, Rise of Nations, and Rise of Legends in his credits) was named the group's chairperson. The IGDA added Dr. Michael Capps, Chris Crowell, and Clarinda Merripen to the board and reelected Mitzi McGilvray to the board. The full board membership is as follows: Bob Bates (IGDA chair emeritus); Tom Buscaglia, attorney, T.H. Buscaglia Associates; Michael Capps (IGDA treasurer), president, Epic Games; Chris Crowell, creative director, Ubisoft Montreal; Jason Della Rocca, executive director, IGDA; Mitzi McGilvray (IGDA secretary), VP Casual Games, TikGames; Clarinda Merripen; Brian Reynolds (IGDA chairperson), president, Big Huge Games; and Kathy Schoback, VP of content acquisition, AGEIA.
