Rapper and Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T will appear in Payday 3, appearing in a special mission that was revealed during Gamescom's Opening Night Live showcase.
"I've hooked up with my favorite game in the world, Payday, and I have my own special heist mission in Payday 3," the star explained in a short video message preceding the mission's debut trailer. "And you know I know a lot about heists in real life, all right?"
Our new contact, Mac, has put us on the trail of some highly valuable processors being sent through the docks down at Port Jersey. The clock is ticking, so make sure to retrieve them before the time runs out. ⏳

The trailer--featuring Ice-T as the narrator--explains that the mission requires players to successfully pull off a heist at a shipyard near Port Jersey. Both the heist's location and the city in which it is set (Bayonne, New Jersey) are real locales, adding an interesting element to the mission for players who are familiar with the area. The heist itself involves snagging cargo from a container and getting it to a safe method of transport before the mission timer runs out (and, ideally, without attracting too much attention).
In the trailer, players can be seen stealthily slipping past guards (and quietly taking a few of them down), traversing the shipyard via ziplines, and using other stealthy methods to get the job done. But chaos soon unfolds, with massive explosions and chaotic firefights happening left and right. It seems that this mission in particular will require players to carefully balance both a slow, stealthy entrance and a quick, messy exit to achieve their goals before time runs out.
Ice-T went on to reveal that the mission will become available on September 21, the same day the game launches.
Payday 3 is available for preorder now, and launches on September 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
