The Hewlett-Packard Company will now include Aureal's Vortex2 SuperQuad and Vortex Advantage sound cards in optional packages for its Pavilion Home PC line, according to Aureal.
HP's Pavilion Home PC Build to Order program lets customers build and configure their systems online, offering a variety of storage, software, video, and audio options in a store or online. In essence, it's a custom-built system.
"HP's BTO program provides Aureal with a key opportunity to offer the power of our Vortex products to its customers," said Brendan O'Flaherty, senior vice president of Aureal's Systems Division. "With the rapidly growing base of A3D-enabled content, web-based audio, and other advanced audio applications, we think these users will derive a great deal of value from using our Vortex2 SuperQuad and Vortex Advantage sound cards."
