Horizon Zero Dawn PC Patch Improves Performance, But Less Frequent Patches In Future-January 2024
Jan 27, 2025 10:19 AM

Acclaimed PlayStation exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn has been out on the PC for a while now. While sources like Digital Foundry initially ruled its PC port "deeply disappointing" due to technical issues like an inconsistent frame rate even with top of the line graphics cards, developer Guerrilla Games has issued multiple patches to help alleviate some of the complaints, and the new Patch 1.10 is no different.

According to the patch notes, this update fixes some known crashes and improves performance. However, Guerilla also says that future patches will be less frequent due to continued development on Horizon Forbidden West. The update also contains a minor but welcome change: the game's graphics settings are now stored in a text file instead of a binary file, meaning users can mess with them much more easily than before.
