Guerrilla Games has rolled out Horizon Forbidden West update 1.23, which packs some highly-requested fixes alongside numerous improvements.
Following last week's 1.22 patch for the recently released The Burning Shores expansion, we now have yet another update for Guerrilla's Zero Dawn sequel. According to the development team, this new patch addresses some of the most-requested fixes, including a fix for the 'Following Seyka Into The Tower' main quest and the Aerial Capture: North world activity. There are various fixes for other main quests as well as side-quests included with this brand-new update as well, including a fix for the main quest “To the Burning Shores”, which caused machines to despawn during the "Kill the Machines' objective after restarting from save after the opening movie. This issue blocked progression within the game and has now been fixed.
In addition to numerous fixes for main quests, side quests, and world activities, this new update also included fixes for weapons, machines, some skills, the user interface, and several crashes. Also, this patch optimizes the art game assets, as packs improvements to audio and visuals. We suggest reading the full patch notes here. We haven't included them here as they are quite extensive. Aside from releasing the patch notes for today's update, Guerrilla also shared on which issues the team is still actively working on. We've included a list of known issues below:
