Guerrilla Games and Sony have deployed Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores update 1.24 for PlayStation 5, which addresses some frame rate drops, improves visuals and sound, and more.

　　Earlier this month, Guerrilla released patch 1.23 for The Burning Shores, packing some highly-requested fixes and various improvements. Fast forward two weeks and the team has now rolled out another patch - update 1.24. According to Guerrilla Games, this new update packs various fixes for community-reported issues, including fixes for Aerial Captures and more. The release notes for this update mention quite a lot of quest-related fixes, including fixes for main quests, side-quests as well as fixes for world activities, and data points. PS5 players will be happy to learn that an annoying main quest fix is included with this patch - one that prevented progress during The Burning Shores main quest where creating a save at the campfire during the “Climb Up the Tower” objective could lead to Seyka blocking the path.

　　Aside from quest-related fixes, this brand-new update also packs improvements to sound, art assets, the game's visuals, and art optimization. 　　Horizon Forbidden West is available worldwide now for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. As most of you will know, the recently-released Burning Shores expansion is only available on PlayStation 5. As reported last week, sales for The Forbidden West have surpassed 8.4 million copies across PS5 and PS4 with total sales for the Horizon franchise exceeding 32.7 million - impressive numbers for sure.
