Hogwarts Legacy’s map is vast, and reaching certain locations can be quite time-consuming. Fortunately, you get the chance to unlock fast travel from the game’s first hours, provided you discover Floo Flame spots scattered throughout Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the whole map. You will be able to cover great distances in a matter of seconds. It sounds pretty convenient, right? Let’s see how fast travel works in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to unlock Fast Travel in Hogwarts Legacy

　　When you arrive at Hogwarts, you will be introduced to Floo Fames during the first mission in the castle. These green flames work as fast travel hubs, and there are plenty both in the school and outside of it. When you unlock a new Floo Flame spot, you can open the map and select it to reach that area from any location. It will only take a few seconds. You can quickly notice active fast travel points because they are highlighted in green on the map. Instead, Floo Flames that are yet to be found are colored in grey.

How to find Floo Flame spots

　　You can take some time to wander around Hogwarts and unlock most of the flames, if not all, so you can quickly get to any area in the castle. You can do the same when you visit Hogsmeade and the rest of the map. Traveling to the farthest locations won’t be a problem when you progress through the game if you can use Floo Flames.

　　To unlock a new Floo Flame spot and turn it green on the map, you must reach its location and walk near its surroundings. You will easily notice where it is because the flame is actually green, and there is a portrait of a woman, Ignatia Wildsmith, just above it. She is, in fact, the inventor of Floo powder.

　　A message will appear on-screen shortly after, telling you that you have just discovered a new Floo Flame location. From now on, the spot will be available for fast travel on the map. There are plenty of flames to unlock in the game, so take your time. Searching for them is a great way to explore Hogwarts and its surroundings, as they cover the whole map and allow you to start wandering a little more. Most of the time, you will also find one or more chests nearby, so use Revelio to spot them.
