Hitman 2 ought to be another rock solid outing for Agent 47, but some have, perhaps justifiably, called out the game for looking a bit too similar to its predecessor. Well, it seems IO Interactive have heard those complaints, because the latest Hitman 2 trailer really delves into some of the gameplay improvements you can expect from the game. Check out the trailer, below.
The trailer only lasts a minute, but it packs a lot of rapid-fire information. Some of the additions coming to Hitman 2 include, more adept combat AI, a new mini-map, security camera grids, picture-in-picture replays, mirrors that “work like mirrors,” the ability to hide inside crowds and foliage, and, of course, tons of new tools and weapons. The fan-favorite briefcase is also making a return (learn more about that here).
The new trailer also outlines some of the free post-launch content players can expect, including new Elusive Targets, Escalation Contracts, Blood Money Requiem and Predator-themed Challenge Packs, extra maps for Sniper Assassin and Ghost Mode, holiday-themed content, and more! As was recently revealed, the exceptionally-killable Sean Bean would play the game’s first Elusive Target – you can check out some screenshots of his character in action here.
For those who haven’t been keeping up, Hitman 2 includes six new murder playgrounds for players to tackle, and a couple new multiplayer modes – Sniper Assassin for those who want to work together, and Ghost Mode for those who don’t.
Finally, Hitman 2’s full PS4 Trophy list has been outed by the folks at TrueTrophies, and there’s a lot of ‘em – 118 to be exact, although, amusingly, there’s no Platinum. Interestingly, it seems as if the trophies are divided by location, hinting that Hitman 2 was originally supposed to be another episodic project before IO Interactive was dumped by Square Enix. Check out the full PS4 Trophy list right here (don't worry, story-based Trophies are hidden).
Hitman 2 sneaks onto PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 13. Those who purchase the Gold Edition of the game can play the game early on November 9.
