Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding To Release Between 2018/ 2019, Heroine Teased-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 11:40 AM

There isn't much we currently know about Death Stranding, the upcoming PlayStation 4 and PC game currently in development by Hideo Kojima's studio Kojima Production, but the legendary game designer recently talked more about it during the Tokyo Game Show 2016. Development is in the very early stages, but it seems like the team has a very good idea on when it might release.

The Kojima Production's Official Twitter profile recently mentioned that Death Stranding will launch before the Tokyo Olympic, which are being held in 2020. Additionally, the new Akira is mentioned, so it may be possible that the game will launch even in 2019, the year the Akira story is set, or even 2018, as Hideo Kojima himself mentioned on stage during TGS 2016 that Death Stranding will be out before the year in which Akira is set.

Interestingly enough, the Kojima Productions' Official Twitter profile teased the possible presence of a heroine, mentioned castings for the game that are still underway.

Death Stranding's casting is still under way... Will there be a heroine? Who should play her?

Last week, Hideo Kojima himself confirmed during Sony pre-Tokyo Game Show 2016 press conference that Death Stranding will come with 4K and HDR support. The legendary game designer also mentioned that his upcoming game will be an open world action game featuring a new type of multiplayer experience that will go beyond the current standards of versus and co-op.

Death Stranding will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date in all regions. We will keep you updated on Hideo Kojima's upcoming game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
