James Gunn's Peacemaker spin-off series won't premiere on HBO Max until next January, but we finally get a look at John Cena's new squad that will be accompanying him on his unfulfilled mission of peace. Jennifer Holland and Steve Agee will be reprising their roles, while joined by Chukwudi Iwuji (John Wick 2, When They See Us) as Murn--a mercenary working for Amanda Waller, while Freddie Stroma (Bridgerton) plays popular comics character, Vigilante.
Danielle Brooks (Orange Is The New Black) plays sixth team member Adebayo. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn said of her, "She isn't always treated the best by the people around her."
It was previously reported last December that Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), and Christopher Heyerdahl (Togo) will be recurring guest stars throughout the eight-part miniseries.

The HBO Max series will focus on this new team of "black ops combating something catastrophic that's facing the planet," Gunn said, who wrote all of the series and directed five episodes.
Not many details are known about the upcoming series with even Gunn shutting down rumors of a Bane cameo or appearance. The Suicide Squad turned out to be a huge hit for Warner Bros./HBO Max, with Peacemaker having been announced before the movie even came out.
