YouTube's first slate of original programming, including horror show Scare PewDiePie, will premiere on February 10, the video platform has announced. As announced previously, Scare PewDiePie will see PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, thrust into real-life situations inspired by horror games.
PewDiePie claims he is not told what is going to happen during Scare PewDiePie, which is described as "part prank show, part suspense adventure." The show is produced by The Walking Dead company Skybound Entertainment and Disney's Maker Studios. A new trailer is available above.
Also debuting on February 10 will be the film Lazer Team from the minds behind Rooster Teeth. This film follows four "small-town losers" who find an alien ship stuffed with mysterious cargo. Then they of course must go save the world. Check out the trailer for the feature-length film below.
Scare PewDiePie and Lazer Team will be available with a $10/month YouTube Red subscription.
Other subscription benefits include ad-free videos, the ability to save videos offline, and a background play feature where a video won't stop playing as it currently does while using other apps or when your screen is off. Also included with YouTube Red is a Google Play Music subscription.
