How many seasons of Stranger Things will there be? Creators Matt and Ross Duffer told Entertainment Weekly that they are envisioning as many as five, though nothing is certain at this time.

　　"Everything changes as we move forward so we'll see," Ross Duffer said.

　　Matt Duffer added that he hopes Stranger Things will have a "really finite ending." He hopes the show doesn't drag on to a point where it gets stale.

　　"I don't want it to be one of those shows that runs out of gas and they lose it because they're losing interest. You wanna end when you're on top," he said.

　　As was the case with Season 1, the second season will tell a self-contained story, though it'll surely end with teases for what's coming up next. "Hopefully you’ll come to the end of Season 2 and feel fully satisfied and want more but you'll feel like it has come to a conclusion," Ross Duffer said. "But also we've laid the groundwork for further seasons."

　　Last year, Matt Duffer said he and his brother are looking at Breaking Bad as a model for Stranger Things. That show "was never treading water" and "built to an ending that was very much intended from the beginning," he said at the time. Matt Duffer said he hopes Stranger Things can be a "complete show" in the same way that Breaking Bad was.

　　Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Halloween this year--October 31. The first teaser was released during Super Bowl LI and can be seen above. In other news, the general plot for the second season has been divulged--and it sounds pretty interesting.
