Ninja Theory released an HDR patch for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice on PlayStation 4 yesterday, but it wasn't the only announcement they made.
The UK studio (recently acquired by Microsoft) also revealed that a VR Edition of Hellblade, its BAFTA-winning game released in 2017, will be out early next week on PC. There's been no word yet on whether it will be available for PlayStation VR too at some point.
The VR Edition of Hellblade features Senua’s full journey from the original game plus additional experimental game modes and fully customizable comfort options.
You can experience Hellblade in VR from July 31st on Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and the VR Edition will be available for free to those that own or purchase the original on Steam.
In case you haven't played the game yet, it's very much worth it as explained in our review.
Blending powerful imagery, unrivaled visuals quality, an excellent combat system and a unique setting that mixes Norse mythology with mental illness, Ninja Theory fully delivers on their independent AAA pitch with Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. This is one of those titles that, albeit not flawless, should be experienced by every gamer at some point.
The game should be even more immersive when played with an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive device.
