James Gunn's The Suicide Squad spin-off centering around Peacemaker has added Alison Araya and Lenny Jacobson in recurring roles, according to Variety. They will join John Cena for the series, which will premiere on HBO Max in January 2022.

Jacobson (Halt and Catch Fire) and Araya (Julie and the Phantoms), on top of other recent cast announcements in December-which included the addition of Chukwudi Iwuji (When They See Us) and Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale)--add to an increasingly fuller picture of what the series will have in store--even though it hasn't yet been announced who all everyone will be playing in the spin-off.

Taking to Twitter, Gunn shared that, "Peacemaker is my first foray into television and I'm enjoying it immensely. Being able to explore the lives and relationships of characters over numerous episodes feels like being able to fully breathe creatively for the first time."
