Halo Reach Confirmed For Xbox One Backwards Compatibility; Listed On Xbox´s BC Frontpage-September 2024
Sep 20, 2024 8:26 PM

Halo Reach has now officially been displayed at Microsoft's Xbox One Backwards Compatibility website. As a matter of fact, it's the first title you'll see on the page.

As to date, every major Halo release is playable on the Xbox One, except for the amazing Halo Reach. A few months ago, Microsoft's Phil Spencer already hinted that he wanted to have the title on the Xbox One through the console's backwards compatibility feature.

From the looks of it though, it's actually happening. On Microsoft's official BC website, Halo Reach is displayed next to the original Mass Effect and Perfect Dark Zero, as backwards compatible title for the Xbox One.

Good news for those who want to replay this amazing Halo title, or for those want to experience the title for the very first time on the Xbox One.

Halo Reach was Bungie's last Halo title and was released back in 2010 for the Xbox 360. Although the game doesn't involve Halo iconic hero 'Master Chief', some consider the game to be the best Halo game created. The title is highly rated on Metacritic, and has received several awards, including one for best game of the year.

Backwards compatibility for the Xbox One was announced by Microsoft during their E3 press conference, and hit like a truck. The new feature will be implemented in the November update, which be rolled out on November 12. Earlier we posted exactly how backwards compatibility for the Xbox One works, I suggest you give that post a thorough read.
