Halo: Nightfall Film Release Date Announced [Correction]
Halo: Nightfall Film Release Date Announced [Correction]-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 4:44 AM

Halo: Nightfall, the episodic live-action TV series set between the events of Halo 4 and 5, will be released as a collection across North America and Europe in March.

[Correction: Representatives for the show say that a North America release date has yet to be finalised.]

The five-episode season, produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, originally aired on Xbox 360 and Xbox One between November and December. Now the series will come to DVD and Blu-ray from March 17, with all episodes merged together into a feature-length film.

Microsoft has issued a new trailer ahead of the film's release, adding that Nightfall will also be available on “digital channels," including iTunes.

Halo: Nightfall tells the story of Jameson Locke who, according to the show’s official blurb, is “a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth’s most powerful and secretive military branch.”

Fans who have watched the show already will have witnessed how Locke transitions the narrative between Halo 4 and 5, and how he will play a key role in the next installment.
