Two of Microsoft's franchises are crossing over yet again, as new Halo content is coming to Sea of Thieves. The Noble Spartan Sails pack is coming to Sea of Thieves this month as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations and to mark the launch of Halo Infinite.
Everyone who plays Sea of Thieves between November 24-December 1 will receive the original Spartan Ship Set that was released in 2019. Then everyone who plays between December 1-8 will get the brand-new Noble Spartan Sails and Flag content.
As you can see in the announcement video, the Noble Spartan Sails pack comes with sails inspired by Halo and specifically Noble Team from Halo: Reach. Halo Infinite's first battle pass is called Heroes of Reach, which is probably why that game is getting singled out specifically here.
Thanks in part to Game Pass, Sea of Thieves is still going very strong, recently reaching 25 million players. The game's Pirates of the Caribbean crossover DLC launched in June, featuring a Johnny Depp-inspired Captain Jack Sparrow and other popular characters and locations from Disney's film series. The game's fourth season arrived in September and took players deep underwater for a set of new adventures.
Sea of Thieves is one of GameSpot's best Xbox One games of all time, and you can see the rest in our roundup of the Xbox One's 25 best games.
As for Halo, Microsoft might surprise-release the game's multiplayer today as part of the 20th anniversary Xbox celebrations. Ahead of the showcase, a teaser trailer for the Halo TV show has leaked.
