GWENT: The Witcher Card Game “Kill The Servers” Stress Test
GWENT: The Witcher Card Game “Kill The Servers” Stress Test-October 2024
Oct 19, 2024 12:36 PM

CD Projekt Red is organizing a special event ahead of the upcoming GWENT closed beta. The event is called “Kill the Servers”, and will take place on September 23 and September 27.

The event allows players to play GWENT: The Witcher Card Game ahead of the closed beta that kicks off on October 25, but more importantly, “Kill the servers” allows CD Projekt Red to stress GWENT’s hosting backend.

Kill the Servers! is an event designed to stress GWENT’s hosting backend. We want you to blow out some fuses in the server rooms and, at the end of the day, see how everything reacts to a lot of gamers banging at the doors. The event takes place this Friday, 23.09 from 5PM to 9PM CEST and Tuesday, 27.09 from 8PM to 12AM CEST.

Codes for the “stress test” will be available tomorrow, and more information regarding code availably can be found on CD Projekt Red’s Facebook and Twitter.

The event will only be launched for PC players, and CD Projekt Red points out that access to the stress test, doesn’t grant players access to the closed beta next month.

DOES PARTICIPATING IN KILL THE SERVERS! MEAN I GET INTO THE CLOSED BETA?

No, it does not. Participating in KtS! does not grant you access to the Closed Beta -- although you do need to be signed up for the Closed Beta to be able to apply for KtS! Access. In short, Closed Beta and KtS! are two different things. But don’t worry if you don’t manage to get into KtS!, the Closed Beta will have plenty of spots for everyone.

There will be a limited amount of keys available for the event, and will be granted based on a first come, first served basis. There will be no deck creation or level progression during the “stress test”.
