Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 comes with a small galaxy's worth of extras. In addition to director's commentary from Gunn, there'll be two behind-the-scenes featurettes included with the film. The Imperfect Perfect Family examines the evolution of the Guardians from the viewpoint of the cast and crew, and Creating Rocket Raccoon is a deep dive into how the surly Guardian was brought to life.

There's also a substantial number of deleted scenes, that fleshes out the story with additional content. The full list includes:

A Bit Much -- Adam Warlock explains to Ayesha what he plans to do with the Guardians.A Lending Hand -- Peter lends a hand to an injured humanimal on Counter-Earth and shows he means no harm.Drax’s Analogies and Metaphors -- Drax gives Peter some interesting life analogies and metaphors. The Perfect Society -- The High Evolutionary reveals his mission to perfect the universe. The Search for 89P13 -- Behemoth brings not-so-good news to The High Evolutionary.Annoyed Peter --Peter gets annoyed while altering the shield.A Burning Escape -- Peter runs back to grab his music player before escaping a blazing inferno on the Arete.Knowhere After the Battle -- The High Evolutionary is brought back to Knowhere and locked up while Kraglin recruits Adam Warlock.Lastly, the collection wouldn't be complete without a gag reel. If you're a fan of flubbed lines, improv gone wrong, and the cast just having a good laugh while shooting a sci-fi epic, then this extra content will put a smile on your face.

"It's an extremely polished and well-made movie that's as colorful and as much of a feast for the eyes as the previous two films, with some mind-blowingly awesome action sequences to boot, but it doesn't add up to anything more than that," Phil Owen write in GameSpot's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 review. "After 15 years of this franchise, that's pretty frustrating. But it's so well put together, fortunately, that you should have a good time anyway."
