Codemasters has announced the revival of yet another one of their many racing franchises. Grid, which is the first entry in the series in five years, and the fourth overall, will once again focus on more over-the-top racing with realistic crash damage and the ability to rewind mistakes being key features. Grid will also include a deep career mode, a dozen different race locations from around the world, over 70 cars, and more. Check out a brief teaser trailer for Grid, below.
Here’s a rundown of Grid’s key features:
Over 70 of the Most Iconic Cars Ever Raced – Race the greats, both current and classic, across a huge array of vehicle classes. Modern greats such as the Porsche 911 RSR and Ferrari 488 GTE in the GT class to classics including the Ford GT40 and Pontiac Firebird Modified are all available to race to their limits.

Six Exciting Race Types – Challenge yourself across various modes in-game, as well as an event / race creator:

Get Competitive Online – Race in either Quick Match or use the online event creator and take your racing to the next level, either in a public game or with friends in private races.
It will be interesting to see if Grid can stand out amongst Codemasters’ many, many similar racing titles. That said, it looks like a good amount of effort is being sunk into the game. In addition to the standard edition, there will, of course, be an $80 Grid Ultimate Edition, which includes:
