PUBG will run at 30fps across all Xbox One devices, creator Brendan Greene has clarified.

　　Greene, PLAYERUNKNOWN himself, announced this on Twitter just now. “While I previously stated PUBG would run at higher FPS at XGP launch on 12/12, I want to clarify that PUBG will run at 30 FPS across all @Xbox One devices”, he tweeted. Greene added that the game’s development team is constantly looking for ways to increase the framerate. “We’re constantly refining the game & exploring options to increase FPS, but this early in dev, we’re unable to confirm more.

　　Yesterday we reported how Greene had stated that PUBG would run at 60FPS on Microsoft’s Xbox One X console. “Definitely on Xbox One X, 60FPS”, he said in a feature with gamesTM. On Xbox One, we’re not sure. We may have to limit it at 30FPS, maybe, but the last time I saw it, it was running at about 30 to 40. We’re still constantly improving it so, you know, the aim is to get to 60. That’s why we’re doing Game Preview, because I think the great thing about console is it’s a locked hardware system, so we can do really specific tweaks that tune it for those systems.

　　PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is scheduled for a release on Xbox One (with Xbox One X support) later this month on December 12.

　　The battle-royale shooter was released in early-access back in March of this year.

　　The Xbox One version of the title was confirmed at this year’s E3 event. “Microsoft’s Game Preview program allows us to get feedback directly from players, something that has been crucial to our success on Steam Early Access,” stated Chang Han Kim, VP and Executive Producer at Bluehole, Inc. “Furthermore, Xbox Live’s solid multiplayer capabilities will enable us to deliver the most complete Battle Royale experience to players worldwide.”
