Sony Computer Entertainment America announced on Wednesday that a soundtrack featuring music from Gran Turismo 2 for the PlayStation will soon be released. Titled Music at the Speed of Sound, the audio CD soundtrack will feature songs from a variety of artists, including Beck, Soul Coughing, Crystal Method, Rob Zombie, Stone Temple Pilots, and The Cardigans. The CD will also feature bonus songs not found in the game, a limited-edition poster, and a demo disc.
"The music from these popular bands on the soundtrack and the true engine sounds that are incorporated bring this game to a whole new level," said Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "Gran Turismo 2 delivers a powerful level of realism, putting you behind the wheel of these world-class race cars. While playing this game you are challenged to negotiate incredible tracks, all while listening to your favorite bands."
The Music at the Speed of Sound album will be released nationwide in February.
