Funny, he doesn't look like a Goth.
PC gamers looking to make wise decisions during the cash-strapped holiday season take note: The free demo for Gothic 3 is now available from GameSpot. The 1.13GB file features the beginning area of the role-playing game, and it features all the weapons, spells, and quests available in the area that are in the full retail version.
Gamers will be able to check out the towns of Ardea and Cape Dun, as well as the Rebel outpost of Reddock, with no time restrictions. Publisher Aspyr claims the open-ended game is three times larger than its predecessor and sees users encounter a horde of orcs. In keeping with the open-endedness of the game, players can ally with the orcs or rise up against them.
Aspyr notes that gamers must have DirectX 9.0 Redistributable installed in their computers for the demo to work.
Gothic 3 is rated T for Teen and will ship to stores on November 13. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
