Not long after announcing a new internal makeup, technology giant Google has now rolled out a new logo.
This latest design looks more modern, and it drops the old-style lowercase "g." The 17-year-old company has changed its logo a few times over the years, most recently doing so two years ago in 2013.
Why the change? Google didn't exactly provide a specific reason in its announcement blog post. But the company did stress how Google today is much more than just a site you visit on your computer. Indeed, Google can be found in many places, from your phone to your car.
The new Google logo should start to populate everywhere soon. For now, the Google.com page has been updated with a fun animation that shows a hand wiping away the old logo and drawing the new one.
Don't like the new Google logo? It may not be around forever, as Google says, "This isn't the first time we've changed our look and it probably won't be the last."
