KCE Kobe announced today that a new 3D version of Goemon is in development for the PlayStation 2. The game will follow the action-RPG style found in Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on the Nintendo 64, but it will add more ninja-style gameplay elements and RPG-influenced magic. While Goemon will have multiple gameplay actions, Konami claims that its goal is to keep the control scheme intuitive. The release date for Goemon has not been announced yet. GameSpot has acquired some screenshots from Goemon for the PlayStation 2, so have a look. We'll have more information on Goemon as it becomes available.
