EA's The Godfather II is expected to ship for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on April 7, and on day one, the publisher plans to give away a free multiplayer mode, Don Control. However, EA also has some premium content that will be available further down the pipe. The publisher announced today that three items can be purchased through Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network beginning April 23.

　　Online multiplayer gamers can pick up the Pentangeli Map Pack for $6.75 (540 Microsoft points). The pack contains two new multiplayer maps--one set in Cuba and the other set in a junkyard. For $4 (320 Microsoft points), players can upgrade five different weapons, including the Modern Dillinger and the .700 Magnum Impact, to level-four power. Also available for $4 (320 Microsoft points), players can hire henchman Jimmy Lira, who begins his criminal career with the arsonist, engineer, medic, and safecracker specialties.
