2K Games' latest installment in the Conflict series is now storming retailers nationwide. Where previous Conflict games dropped players into the thick of battle in Desert Storm and Vietnam, Conflict: Global Terror brings the series into the present day with a squad-based, tactical counterterrorism shooter. The gameplay engine has been rewritten with new rag-doll physics, a refined order system, and for the first time in the series, cooperative online play.
Storyline-wise, Global Terror takes players to real-world hot spots in the fight against a fictional terrorist group of Nazis known as March 33. Joining the heroes of the original Conflict: Desert Storm (Bradley, Jones, Connors, and Foley) and bringing a woman's touch to the series for the first time is Sherman, a sniper.
Conflict: Global Terror is rated M for Mature with a retail price of $39.99 on the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox, and $29.99 on the PC. Check back soon for GameSpot's full review.
