Get a Hands-On with Metro Exodus During the Game’s World Tour-October 2024
Oct 24, 2024 7:15 AM

Do you want to play Metro Exodus? Of course you do. I was already able to have a hands-on with the game (read my impressions here) and I'm more than ready to play again. Releasing on the 22nd of February, you're going to have to wait a little while before you can get your hands on the game.

So if you want to get a hands-on, you're in luck. Deep Silver and 4A games have revealed the schedule for the game. Starting at Gamescom in two weeks time, the game will be touring the world.

“Until now, fans have only experienced Metro Exodus through our trailers and gameplay videos” said Huw Beynon, Head of Global Brand Management at Deep Silver “We want to give players the opportunity to get their hands on Metro Exodus before it releases on February 22 2019.”

The first destination on the Metro Exodus Hands On Tour will be GamesCom in Cologne, Germany in August 2018.  As Europe’s premier consumer gaming event, Metro Exodus will be available for to play not only on the Deep Silver stand in Hall 9, but also on Microsoft’s Xbox stand in Hall 8.

Following GamesCom, north American consumers visiting PAX West in Seattle on August 31 will find Metro Exodus available to play on the Corsair stand while UK based gamers can play at EGX in Birmingham from 20 September.  Igromir, Paris Games Week and many more follow.  A full list of events can be found on the official Metro Exodus site:  http://www.metrothegame.com/news/hands-on-tour/

As an added incentive to go and check them out, you can get your hands on random loot.

We'll also have swag to giveaway at specific events and trust us, you want this swag. Join us at gamescom this month and you could pick up an authentic Spartan Order Dog Tag when you play Metro Exodus!

Is it worth going just for the loot? Who knows. However, I can more than recommend that you try and get a hands-on with the game. It's a step forward for the franchise and one that takes the game in a bold new direction, while not straying so far it's not a Metro game. Plus getting a hands-on will let you know exactly what you're getting yourself in for when you go out and buy the game.

In other top news, you can also find (and punch?) me at Gamescom this year, where I'll also be checking out Metro Exodus for any new developments since I last had a hands-on.
