The German government wants to set up a blacklist of violent computer games, according to a report on Reuters. The list would give the government the power to ban certain games from distribution.
The call for the blacklist comes in response to last month's massacre at a German school in which a 19-year-old student killed 16 people before shooting himself. Police say the killer owned a number of violent videos and computer games.
In addition to the proposed blacklist, the German government also wants to classify and label computer games according to age. Both proposals are expected to be voted on by the German parliament in July.
