A rare early film from legendary Dawn of the Dead director George A. Romero will be released by AMC's horror streaming service Shudder. The film is titled The Amusement Park and was directed by Romero in 1973.

　　The Amusement Park was considered "lost" and has been rarely seen since it was made. It was recently rediscovered by the George A. Romero Foundation and restored in 4K. The film will hit Shudder in the summer, and ahead of that, a striking poster by Polish artist Aleksander Wasilewski has been released. Check it out below:

　　George Romero's The Amusement ParkThe movie was Romero's only work-for-hire film and was commissioned by Lutheran Society. It follows an elderly man, played by Lincoln Maazel, who finds himself lost at an amusement park. It deals with issues of ageism, as the man becomes increasingly disoriented and isolated.

　　The film was made in the same year that Romero released his action horror movie The Crazies and five years after his groundbreaking debut Night of the Living Dead. While The Amusement Park was his only commissioned feature, he spent several years as a director-for-hire making industrial shorts and TV documentaries before his zombie classic.

　　In related news, it was confirmed last week that Shudder's anthology horror series Creepshow had been greenlit for Season 3. The show is based on Romero's 1982 movie, which was written by Stephen King. Creepshow Season 2 will hit the service in April, with Season 3 following later in the year. Showrunner Greg Nicotero recently spoke about the first episode of Season 2, which homages the classic Evil Dead franchise.
