Gears of War 4, the latest entry of the series currently in development by The Coalition, is soon going to release on Xbox One and Windows 10, and we already know that the Xbox One release will come with HDR support for the recently released Xbox One S. Not much has been said regarding HDR support for the PC version, but recently it's been confirmed that it won't be in, at least at launch.

　　The Coaltion's Directory of Community Coalition-PezRadar recently confirmed on the NeoGAF forums that Gears of War 4 won't come with HDR support on PC as many monitors don't have the functionality right now.

　　Gears 4 has HDR on Xbox One S. It does not support it on PC. PC just started incorporating HDR support on cards recently and many monitors don’t have the functionality.

　　The PC version does support full 4K, Ultrawide, etc.

　　As the same time, the team may consider adding it later, if there's enough demand for the feature.

　　I agree some PC users connect into HDR tvs but as of now we do not have support for it. We may incorporate it in a later update though if demand grows.

　　Coalition-PezRadar has been pretty clear on the matter, so if you want Gears of War 4 to get HDR support in the future, make sure to let the team know.

　　The PC release of Gears of War 4 has been showcased recently during PAX West 2016, with a gameplay video also surfacing online showing some of this version's unique features. As already announced, the game will come with mouse and keyboard controls support, 4K resolution, UltraWide support and much more.
