Microsoft has confirmed the resolution and frame rate for its upcoming shooter Gears of War 4. Producer Rod Fergusson tells Game Informer that the Xbox One game will run at 1080p/30fps for campaign and 60fps for multiplayer. He didn't share a resolution figure for Gears of War 4's multiplayer mode.
Also in the rapid fire interview (Game Infomer asked 105 questions in 5 minutes), Fergusson teases a PC version of Gears of War 4. Asked directly if the game is coming to computers, he replied, "Possibly."
It wouldn't be the first Xbox One Gears of War game for PC, as the Gears of War Ultimate Edition also came to PC following its launch on console. Other upcoming Microsoft games that will launch for Xbox One and PC include Quantum Break, ReCore, and Sea of Thieves.
Gears of War 4 is scheduled to launch later this year for Xbox One (and maybe PC, according to Fergusson). A beta will be held sometime this spring, though a start-date has not yet been announced.
In other news, Gears of War 4's story, which follows Marcus Fenix's son and two other new characters, takes place over the span of 24 hours. Additionally, it's also been confirmed that Gears of War 4's co-op is limited to two players locally and online, not four as was the case with Gears of War 3.
